FUTURE PITCH 2024
FUTURE PITCH 2024 is the industry showcase of the 24FRAME Future Film Festival, aimed at facilitating meetings between authors/directors and production companies looking for new stories to present to a wide audience. The call serves as a fundamental tool that, year after year, promotes the development of new animation, VFX, and CGI projects—from short films to series, from feature films to documentaries—intended for the national and/or international market.
Many prestigious production and distribution companies have participated in previous editions: in the 2023 edition, 40 projects were submitted, including short films, feature films, and series. Selected participants had the opportunity to present their projects to producers from Lucky Red, RAI, Palomar, Flash Future, and Ibrido Studio.
This year, in addition to Italian producers and distributors, French and German producers from Hesse and Aquitaine, two regions twinned with the Emilia-Romagna Region, will also be present as guests of the 24FRAME Future Film Fest.
Here are the main phases of the call:
REGISTRATION: By September 19, 2024, authors must register their works by completing the following form in English and paying the registration fee here. To ensure greater transparency and give producers the opportunity to select projects of certain interest, anonymity is required for the projects submitted.
SELECTION: By October 7, 2024, the authors/directors will be notified of the projects selected by the producers. Authors and directors selected for the pitch will then be contacted by the Festival organizers by October 20, 2024, and must confirm their participation by email to segreteria@futurefilmfestival.it by October 25, 2024. Selected participants will also have exclusive and free access to a pitch preparation course with instructor Gloria Puppi, which will be held on November 8 in Bologna, before the pitches scheduled with production companies.
PITCH: On November 8 in Bologna, at the DumBO venue, the pitches will take place in person, one-to-one, each lasting 15 minutes.
