A half hour animated film, A BEAR NAMED WOJTEK is essentially a love story for one’s homeland – an important subject in times of refugees, nationalism and xenophobia. It relates the experience of the Polish people during World War II through the true story of Wojtek and his friend Piotr Prendys, a member of the 22nd Artillery Corps of the 2nd Polish Army, as they travel across Europe and fight at the Battle of Monte Cassino.

An ambitious thief wants to steal a precious diamond from a heavily guarded vault. On his way, he unexpectedly meets competition - a femme fatale who appeared for the same purpose. The rivalry for the diamond slowly turns into a mutual fascination that takes the couple into a world between dream and reality. Their gameplay balances between danger and sensual flirtation. The film is a mix of crime and love story, with a dose of humor.

Mosaic portrait of a small fisherman's village where human to human, human to animal, animal to animal interdepend on a delicate balance of warm tender care and cold emotional cruelty. An eerie story of loneliness and community narrated with magical realism.
